GB3SO
GB3SO is located on a large PMR site in Boston,
Lincolnshire, and operates on RB0 (Input 434.6 MHz output 433.0 MHz.
The present equipment consists of a Pye U496 link transmitter/receiver fitted with GB3US
MK I control logic built by G4SJV..
The aerial system currently consists of a commercial J-Beam 7536 co-linear on
transmit (giving approx. 18 watts erp) with a commercial J-Beam 7536 co-linear on
receive.
The feeder in use on both transmit and receive is RG8U. Due
to the vertical separation of the aerials, only one cavity filter is required in the
receive feeder.
The Repeater can be accessed by a 1750 tone or a CTCSS tone of 71.9. (Group B) The
talkthrough period is 2 minutes.
